We coordinate and support the municipal IT operations in Sandviken Municipality.

The IT office currently has 36 dedicated employees responsible for Sandviken Municipality's IT delivery, which is based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and security.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help develop the future's network infrastructure?

We are looking for an IT specialist with a focus on networks and communication for our Technical Operations group. Here, you will play a key role in shaping Sandviken Municipality's IT infrastructure and communication environment with both strategic and operational responsibilities.

With us, you will be part of a competent team of 11 people who together ensure a reliable, modern, and secure infrastructure environment. Your contribution makes a difference every day.

You will:

• Be responsible for the further development of data center networks and security products.
• Participate in the design, implementation, and optimization of network solutions for large-scale environments.
• Be a requirements setter and prepare decision-making materials for technology choices, investments, and procurements.
• Work closely with the IT security manager and other specialists to create a robust and secure communication environment.
• Participate in development projects and contribute your expertise in networks and infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in networks, infrastructure, and communication, who enjoys working in a dynamic environment. You have several years of experience in several of the following areas:

• Infrastructure for large-scale and reliable environments.
• Data center networks and security products (firewalls, switches, VPN).
• VMware vSphere and Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Microsoft infrastructure and network integration.
• Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Meritorious:

• Experience working in the public sector and large-scale operational environments.
• Competence in Linux and network monitoring.
• Knowledge of modern network technologies such as SD-WAN, segmentation, and Zero Trust.
